Solar-powered 'treehouse' has 360-degree views, Wi-Fi and beer

Jono Williams, a plastics engineer and graphic designer by day, wanted to build an elevated room with a view, but wasn't convinced that a standard treehouse would suffice. So instead he built his own tree-like structure, one that could sit virtually anywhere in the world not just where large trees grow

His creation, appropriately dubbed "The Skysphere," is a circular single room accessible by a ladder in its base. The structure is located in Linton, New Zealand, and provides its guests with endless views of the surrounding countryside. Besides the sleek design and pretty views, the room is completely powered by solar panels, which is necessary for all of its gadgets. Read more...
